We'll look at how Jewish biblical scholars from Rashi (10th c.) to Abarbanel (15th c.) understood the meaning of the sacrificial rituals described in the first chapters of the book of Leviticus. They, like us, were trying to cope with a system that was historically and spiritually very far removed from them. Their approaches can help us deal with this difficult but essential aspect of Torah.
