A lifelong social justice activist, Rabbi Ruth Gelfarb was ordained at HUC-JIR, received her AB from Harvard College. and has studied at the Pardes Institute in Jerusalem. Rabbi Ruthie, former Director of Service at the American Jewish World Service, has led numerous trips for the American Jewish World Service (Ghana, Thailand, & Central America). She is also a retired navy chaplain.
