The Bible and Midrash tell of people - infants and embryos, prophets and commoners - who have seen God. How can we relate to these intriguing texts? Does God really have a body that people can see? After all, the Bible states, "Humans cannot see me and live." We'll consider the rabbis' use of poetry and metaphor and discuss how these texts might challenge and inspire us today.
