Dr. Cargill is author of "Qumran through (Real) Time: A Virtual Reconstruction of Qumran and the Dead Sea Scrolls." He presently serves as the Instructional Technology Coordinator for the UCLA Center for Digital Humanities. Dr. Cargill has appeared as an expert on numerous documentaries and television shows, and regularly lectures on topics concerning archaeology, biblical studies, and Judaism.

This presentation will bring the audience up to speed on current scholarship involving Qumran and the Dead Sea Scrolls and will discuss its relevance not only for scholars, but its significance for Jews today. This session will be based on new research from the presenter's new book, "Qumran through (Real) Time: A Virtual Reconstruction of Qumran and the Dead Sea Scrolls."
