Sheridan Gayer

101, College/University Student Recommended, Identity & Responsibility, Interactive, Social Justice

What moves you? What are your passionate about? Where does Judaism fit? Where are your "Jewish" priorities? This session will help you place Limmud NY in the context of your day to day life with text, thought, conversation, ideas and interactive exercises. Come as you are, ready to consider what community means to you.

Sheridan is a graduate of the joint program between the Jewish Theological Seminary and Columbia University as well as the William Davidson School of Jewish Education, where she specialized in Informal and Communal Education. Her love of “hands on” education stems from a background with USY and Ramah, both organizations for which she has worked. Currently volunteering as a programming co-chair for the Limmud NY 2011 conference, her professional life is filled with Israel and Jewish Studies at Columbia University where she is the Assistant Director of the Institute of the same name.
