Become a Deep Torah Reader in Translation

Adam Tilove

Saturday 12:00 PM–1:15 PM Bentley's fireside

How-To, Text & Thought

In this session, we will use several different translations of the Torah to find subtle and fascinating variances that create huge differences in understanding. You will be be taught a protocol for engaging the text, primarily in English, which you will immediately put to use with a chevruta (study partner). We will be examining several fascinating narratives: Cain and Abel, the expulsion of Hagar and Ishmael, and several examples from the first two chapters of Exodus.
