From Passion to Action

Social Justice, Text & Thought

How can we transform the passionate outrage we feel about injustice into effective action? In this session we will study vignettes from the life of Moses to help us explore how we can become effective Jewish activists with the tools to make a difference in the world.

Beyond “Justice, Justice You Shall Pursue”

How-To, Social Justice

Jewish perspectives on social justice are diverse and complex, yet they’re often boiled down to simplistic, over-quoted statements. This session includes a practical demonstration of On1Foot (www.on1foot.org), an online database of hundreds of Jewish social justice texts, and an exploration of how we can use this website and the texts it features to generate rich conversations about Judaism and social justice.
