"Campfire" Singalong with Arnie Davidson, Peter Kashin, Shoshana Jedwab and Friends
Social and Communal
What a better way to start the new week than to sit around the “campfire” with new and old friends singing songs — English songs, Hebrew songs, or songs in any other language you want to teach us. Bring your musical instruments, voices, camp songbooks and ruach (spirit) with you!
Jewish Kirtan Concert
Rocking Call-and-Response Chant with Kirtan Rabbi!
Arts & Performance,
Bring your voices, open hearts, and dancing socks to a unique concert experience where YOU are the co-performers! Hebrew Kirtan—inspired by a form of devotional prayer developed in India—is continual call-and-response, participatory chant where short, sacred phrases from the Jewish tradition are treated as powerful, universal meditations. It is at once contemplative, ecstatic, and simply fun. There is no need to know Hebrew to enjoy this activity fully.
