Shmuley Boteach

Shmuley Boteach whom Newsweek calls ‘the most famous Rabbi in America,’ is a Chabad rabbi and American TV and radio host. A popular public speaker and award-winning columnist, he won the London Times Preacher of the Year competition after serving as Rabbi to the students of Oxford for 11 years. The best-selling author of 26 books on Judaism and modern life, he has authored such well-known books as ‘Judaism for Everyone’, ‘Ten Conversations You Need to Have With Your Children’, ‘The Broken American Male,’ ‘Kosher Sex,’ ‘Kosher Adultery,’ and ‘The Kosher Sutra’. In January he publishes his study of the connection between Judaism and Christianity, “Kosher Jesus.” He is married to his Australian wife Debbie and they have nine children.

Kosher Sex, Kosher Adultery, and the Kosher Sutra

Identity & Global Culture, Modern Jewish Literature

Adults only. Come and discuss a revolutionary approach to sex, marriage, and personal relationships, drawing on traditional Jewish wisdom. Based on Rabbi Shmuley’s blockbuster international best-selling books on love, sex, and eroticism, as well as his experience of counseling individuals and couples, we will break down sexual taboos and openly, yet respectfully, discuss the meanings, emotions, and the hidden power of sex.

The Rebellious Man of Faith

Identity & Global Culture, Jewish History, Spiritual Practice

Religion has been perceived as demanding and inculcating obedience. Judaism imparted to the world a vision of social transformation and change, a time when people would cure the world of seemingly intractable ills. Human suffering, Judaism taught, was not the fault of sinful man. The faithful person demanded of God to keep His promises and His injunctions to choose life. The rebellious man of faith will continue to worship God after Auschwitz but he will never excuse God's allowing a holocaust against innocents.

Kosher Jesus

Jewish History, Modern Jewish Literature

A ground-breaking research project provides the foundation for a new and revolutionary understanding of Jesus the Jew and what the real story of his mission in ancient Israel means for Christians and Jews. Boteach offers a radically new perspective about the world's most famous personality, determines why the New Testament editors made the Jews culpable, and explores how these realizations will strengthen Jewish-Christian ties and values, with Jesus serving as the bridge between the two faiths.

Greed and Insatiability – Why Enough is Never Enough

Identity & Global Culture, Spiritual Practice

The Western economies are collapsing due to overspending. Greed and material insatiability has crept into the human soul. The focus on objects bringing us happiness is leading to a generation characterized by existential emptiness. Examine the spiritual root of the West’s chronic greed and the story of Adam and Eve to discover what went wrong and why enough never seems enough. Finally, Boteach offers a profound spiritual and practical remedy to lead a more holistic, spiritual and fulfilling life.
