Michael Weis is a recent graduate of the Jewish Theological Seminary's H.L. Miller Cantorial School and Davidson School of Education. Both a cantor and educator, he splits his time between his work in Princeton and Highland Park, NJ and his home in Brooklyn Heights, where he lives with his wife, Lisa, and daughter, Jayna.

In this workshop, you will prepare your very own challah for Shabbat dinner under the guidance of a master challah baker. While your challah is rising and baking, we'll engage in some text study and enjoy some stories about one of the most tactile and memorable Shabbat mitzvot.

How the Internet influences our image of God

Identity & Global Culture

Our culture regularly bombards us with images of God whether we know it or not. In this session we'll examine some of the most common images of God in our culture using the world's most popular and powerful Internet search engine: Google. We'll put together a "profile" of God and discuss ways in which we may alter that "profile" to enhance our personal relationship with the Holy.
