Shimon Erem, a General who served in the British Army’s Jewish Brigade, conducted missions for David Ben Gurion and served as a clandestine Nazi hunter. In Israel’s Independence War he smuggled in arms and refugees. His fight for Israel continues to this day. As an unofficial ambassador of Israel to the Christian community, he creates understanding between Jews and the Christian community. As founder of the Israel Christian Nexus he is an influential Jew among Evangelicals and others worldwide.

We started with an Israel (Palestine) that included Jordan, the Jordan River and the Mediterranean beaches. We ended up with the UN’s concept: a tiny parcel of it. We will examine maps of the Land from the perspectives of biblical, strategic and 1948 borders. We will then overlay the reality of ballistic reaches of Hamas and Hezbollah into Israeli areas under various land partition scenarios in search of a map providing Israel with defensively sustainable borders.

Jews and Christians face a common imperative as we confront Islamic extremism together. Chazal, our sages, told us that he who supports the Jewish religion, it is as though they support the shechina (feminine presence of G-d) itself. Christian tradition says that Jesus instructed his followers to tear down the walls of hatred between Christians and Jews. Christians and Jews need to find common ground to confront the forces that call for our extinction.

Once upon a time, Arab leadership actually acknowledged their readiness to recognize Jewish rights over Palestine, including both sides of the Jordan. We will trace the British campaign that very effectively eroded that opinion - from the Balfour Declaration to the UN decision for partition in 1948. We will visit the British agendas and their deliberate work to undercut the implementation of the Jewish State. We will go on from there.
