Jackie Koch Ellenson

Women's Rabbinic Network

Jackie Ellenson is the Director of the Women’s Rabbinic Network, a position she has held for four years. She was ordained in New York in 1983. Jackie's work has been primarily in educational institutions, most recently as the Chaplain at the Harvard-Westlake School in Los Angeles. Jackie is a spiritual director and is Chair of the Hadassah Foundation Board. She is married to David and they have five children.

In the past 25 years, Jewish women have transformed the Jewish community, bringing innovations in communal organizing, prayer, and ritual. At the same time, women still face challenges in achieving their desired level of participation and leadership in our community. What are the challenges women face today? What can we do to further empower Jewish women? Hear from our panelists, who are engaged in paving new roads for women in our community.
