Jen Taylor Friedman was born and raised in Southampton, U.K., and now lives in New York City. She is notorious for creating 'Tefillin Barbie,' but she is also the first woman known to have written a sefer Torah. She teaches aspiring scribes and calligraphers, and learns at the Drisha Institute when she has time.
