He currently serves as Executive Director of the Green Zionist Alliance, working from North America to promote environmental sustainability in Israel. Currently living in Vancouver, BC, Noam recently left Park Slope Brooklyn, where for the past 6 years he served as Associate Director of the Teva Learning Center. Would you eat a tomato you knew had pig genes in it? How about fly or human? You may be doing just that and don't know it. Genetically engineered foods now dominate our shopping market shelves. In this session we will explore the Jewish ethical and legal questions surrounding the genetic engineering of food (pro and con), and help forward a Jewish response to this timely issue.
