Rachel Dor attended Skidmore College where she studied Social Work and Early Childhood Education. In May 2007, she received a Masters of Social Work from NYU. Currently, Rachel is the Campus Coordinator at The David Project where she works with college students in New York and New Jersey. Rachel met her closest friends at Limmud NY 2007 and has been counting down the days awaiting Limmud NY 2008 ever since. Ossim, which literally translates in Hebrew as “we do,” is a program that teaches high school and college students how to organize and execute pro-Israel activism on campus. This presentation emphasizes the importance of practical skills, strategic thinking, and understanding the political and social environment of the university.
