Text and Thought
Turn the week’s parsha (Torah portion) into a blessing for your palate as well. Turn Torah text into tasty table treats. In this workshop, Sharon and Aaron will teach you to find themes for Shabbat dinner menus based on ideas and foods in the Torah portions. Participants will review the parsha, develop recipes based on its events, and present the menu to their Shabbat dinner “guests.” Your Shabbat meals will become exotic favorites for all your friends!

Text and Thought
The weekly online comic, The Comic Torah, re-imagines Moses, the Exodus from Egypt, and Israel’s wilderness wanderings as a romance between the sky god, YHWH, and the human she loves. Art by internationally acclaimed cartoonist, Sharon Rosenzweig, writing by funny man Aaron Freeman, and performances by both make this a thoroughly unique take on Judaism’s bestseller, recast as the greatest love story ever told.
