Teva Learning Center

Email: show

Getzel Davis is a recent Brandeis graduate who is an alumnus of the Yeshivat Hadar 2006. While there, he studied the history and development of the prayer Birkat ha-minim (the prayer from the amida ‘against heretics’). He is also an educator for the Teva Learning Center where he helps Jewish students feel more awe for the world. He leads nature walks, group building exercises and brainstorming sessions on how to cut one's environmental footprint.

Nature Walk!

Tired of being pent up inside all day and want to get out? Curious about what sort of wildlife lives in the forest outside? Interested in the connections between Judaism and environmentalism? Come to nature walk, get some exercise, and have some of your questions answered.

We will look at the historical development of the prayer from its first appearance in the Talmud through to its form in various modern prayer books.
