Monica Piper

Monica Piper possesses an uncanny ability to manifest humor out of the ordinary as well as the absurd. Born in New York, Monica inherited an affinity for comedy from her father, a performer in the post-vaudeville era. In Chicago, she joined Second City's celebrated workshop, honing her comedy skills. In San Francisco, she joined the resident group at the Holy City Zoo and polished her skills opposite the master Robin Williams. Monica was chosen as one of six comics to be featured on the first Showtime Comedy Club All-Star Special. She has been profiled on Entertainment Tonight and was voted by The Hollywood Reporter as one of the top ten comedians who are "hot, fresh and headed for the top." Today, Monica headlines at venues across the country. She also starred in her own ACE nominated Showtime Special: No, Monica…Just You.

Comedy Writing Workshop

Several Limmudniks will have the chance to perform stand-up comedy and open for the headliner at the LimmuLA comedy show on Sunday night. All those interested in performing should attend this supportive laugh-filled joke writing workshop, and everyone else is welcome too! Bring any and all ideas of what you think is funny.
