Ilana was born in London and raised in Israel. She served in the Israel Defense Forces as a soldier-teacher in the Nahal, with the Society for the Protection of Nature. She currently spends her days teaching in the Hebrew immersion program in the early childhood and elementary school programs of Pressman academy,
