Sheila Spiro

Sheila studied Hebrew Bible at the American Jewish University (formerly University of Judaism). After a career as a paralegal, she worked at the California Institute of California in the major gifts office in development. During the time of the Dead Sea Scroll work, she was the executive director of the Ancient Biblical Manuscript Center, non-sectarian library that is an official site for archiving all of the Dead Sea Scroll images. One of her major accomplishments was shepherding the publication for the complete photographic version of the Leningrad Codex, the oldest known complete Hebrew Bible. She negotiated and arranged the imaging trips to Israel and is a co-author on the publications.
