Jonathan Aaron

Jonathan Aaron serves as Rabbi and Director of Education of Temple Emanuel of Beverly Hills and Head of School for Temple Emanuel Academy Day School. With Cantor Yonah Kliger, he created Temple Emanuel’s Shabbat Unplugged. He has written liturgical music and the full-length musical "Hyrcanus.” After receiving his BFA in Theater from Emerson College, he ran a theater company in Connecticut and taught high school theater. Rabbi Aaron then attended Hebrew Union College, receiving Masters in Jewish Education and Hebrew Letters, and was ordained as a Rabbi in 1996.

A "spiritual rock service" led by Yonah Kliger with original music by Roy Zu-Arets, Shabbat B'Yachad is a worship experience you’ll never forget. Instead of using prayer books, the Hebrew prayers will be projected onto a large screen. Without a book in your hands, you're free to move your body and really get into the music and prayers. Jonathan Aaron will tell a story which will be accompanied in real time by Roy on the piano. This service will have mixed gender seating and amplified music.
