Albert Cohen
Albie Cohen is an environmental lawyer in Los Angeles. He has a law degree and Master's Degree in Public Health. He worked for the United States Department of Justice where he was lead counel in the Love Canal case and has been practicing environmental law for over 30 years. He is an active member of Bnai David and tried to devote a reasonable amount of time on a regular basis learning Jewish texts.

This session will explore what Jewish texts and halachah have to say about the environment and our role in protecting the environment. It will address the question of what obligations we have when the halachah has not yet developed a detailed approach to particular environmental problems.
