Richard Levik
Richard Levik is the founder of The Levite Line. The Levite Line's goal is to reaffirm and rededicate the heart (Lev) of God's eternal covenant with the House of Israel and Judah and all humankind. Richard has a BA in Mathematics with a minor in Jewish Social Studies. Richard also has an MA in History.

It is currently 5770 on the Hebrew calendar! Did you know that this is supposed to represent the number of years since Adam and Eve? Whether considered myth, theory, or fact, this is vital information and should not be held in secret. How can we begin to make the Hebrew calendar more universal? We will discuss why Jews, both inside and outside of Jewish organizations, should be expected and encouraged to use their own calendar. We can also figure out ways to encourage others to do so as well.

Are the Jews a people? Are Jews a nation? Are Jews a religion? Are Jews an ethnicity? Are Jews a race? Are Jews a tribe? Are Jews a combination of tribes? Are Jews a family? Are Jews all of the above? Are Jews some of the above? How do you define yourself? Does your mother define who YOU are? Does your father define who YOU are? Who defines who you are? Who should define who you are? We will address these basic yet controversial questions and maybe more, if time allows. We may even answer some of these questions. Well, we can try at least. Either way, come to listen and to share!!
