Michael Shefrin
Michael Shefrin has been a professional touring/recording musician and band manager and has run a Hollywood nightclub. He is currently working in entertainment law. His Limmudnik history includes being a co-team leader of the highly successful Taste of LimmudLA monthly events, attendance at the LimmudUK conference, mentoring in the teen program, and just being a 'volunticipant'. He was born in 1974 in Los Angeles and has a Rabbi mom who will be attending her first LimmudLA conference this year.

Are you someone's offspring? Someone's parent? Explore the challenges and joys of being part of a family through the experiences of a "rock n’ roll son" and a "rabbi mom." This interactive session will investigate how the history of a family influences their present relationships and what that might mean for the future together. We'll use different modalities for our learning, including conversation, music and Genesis' Joseph story.
