In 2009, Dafna Michaelson began a Journey to share stories of people helping solve community problems in all 50 states. Beginning January, Michaelson traveled to one state per week for the 52 weeks of the year. Her Journey ended at home in Colorado in December. She has been recognized by the Denver Post, 5280 Magazine, 9 News, CNN, and CBS Sunday Morning, among others, for her accomplishments.

In 2009, I traveled to all 50 states interviewing people who were helping to solve community problems or were otherwise working to build community. To find the people I interviewed, I asked the following question through a broad social media reach: Who are the people solving problems in your community? I then followed the leads. I interviewed over 500 people of a plethora of religions, races, socioeconomic backgrounds. People. The largest religion represented: Jewish. Let’s talk about why.
