Jewish Stories of Magic, Merriment, and Mazal
Family & Intergenerational
Welcome to the wonderful world of Jewish stories! We will take a journey to many places in time and around the world to experience stories of magic, miracles, and mazal (luck!) through folktales, fairy tales, and more. You will be part of the stories, and they will become part of you, to hear and then tell again and again. All together, they help tell the amazing story of our Jewish people.

Tu, Tu! Jewish Tales of Magic and Superstition
Arts & Performance,
Jewish Education,
Teens
We Jews are not superstitious (tu tu!). Come experience the magic: the supernatural in Jewish folklore and folktales. From engaging tales to surprising superstitions, this will be a worldwide journey through time and place, drawn from our Jewish Ashkenazi, Sephardi, and Edot ha Mizrachi traditions. Through stories told and cultures revealed, we will explore customs from Talmud (Lilith!), Eastern Europe (Golem!), Yemen (firecrackers at Hanukkah!) & Greece (jumping over fish for fertility!). This session is appropriate for teens and adults.
