We provide a rich study guide to get you going – so you’re especially welcome if you’ve never studied Jewish texts before. Lashon (speech and language) is our theme for Limmud Colorado's first chavruta project. Bring a partner or find someone new to learn with when you get here! Participants are encouraged, but not required, to attend all four sessions.

His thoughts profoundly influenced modern Orthodoxy in America and around the world. Selwyn Franklin presenter studied with Rav Soloveitchik and this interactive session will draw on Soloveitchik’s writings as well as the personal experiences of studying with this seminal figure of 20th century Judaism.

After a successful career as a concert violinist, Federico Consolo (1841-1906) devoted his life to collecting and writing down ancient Sephardi melodies from the oral tradition, especially in Livorno. His photo somehow survived the tremendous upheavals that my mother's family endured, and I always wondered about who he was. This talk is about what I found out -- with photos and music!
