Connect with traditional and modern texts in Hebrew and English. Work every day with a study partner alongside other Limmud participants in the company of experienced facilitators.
We provide a rich study guide to get you going – so you’re especially welcome if you’ve never studied Jewish texts before. Lashon (speech and language) is our theme for Limmud Colorado's first chavruta project. Bring a partner or find someone new to learn with when you get here!
Participants are encouraged, but not required, to attend all four sessions.

It seems that as synagogues are struggling to maintain memberships, minyanim, independent start ups, and other new forms of Jewish community are emerging. What does the future look like for Jewish institutions?
This panel of people who have studied or built "do it yourself" Jewish communities will talk about what is happening in America and overseas.

Teacher: Students, what is the holiday that comes next week? Student: Easter!!!!
Do you have interfaith students in your classroom? The answer for everyone is YES! Join us for a session to learn how to be sensitive to the needs (and responses) of interfaith students, their parents, and extended family. What are our biases? What are our assumptions? What can we do to create a welcoming classroom?

Global History & Culture,
Israel
Palestinians say Israel cannot be both Jewish and democratic. In February, a record number of Israelis voted for Avigdor Lieberman, who says the same thing, but to whom democracy matters less than a Jewish majority. Does Zionism require both? And can the conflict be resolved without them? Come and argue your viewpoint in what promises to be a provocative debate.

Our organization, Ayeka, offers a 10-session module for adults on personal and spiritual growth. We focus on moments in a typical day. Together we will examine 2 midrashim reflecting 2 different approaches to the human body. Sometimes God is not hidden far away, sometimes God is hidden very close by. We will then use experiential exercises to help bring these ideas from our minds to our hearts.

Thousands of Jews converted to Christianity in the Soviet Union and after the fall of the USSR. Here at home, Boulder has become ground zero of what some call JewBus (Jewish Buddhists). Russian Christian Jews and their children continue to live with the dual identity of Christian Jews. We will explore this phenomenon from a historical and cultural point of view, and have a broad conversation about Jews' engagement with other religious traditions and ask if there are any limits beyond which a person can no longer be considered a Jew.
