James (Jim) Shneer
Jim received his B.S. in mathematics from the George Washington University. He is a semi-retired engineering manager who has spent over 45 years in the aerospace industry specializing in the design and development of satellite ground systems and currently teaches courses in ground systems acquisition. He is involved with several family history projects and recently self-edited and self-published his father's oral autobiography.

Jewish genealogy and family history is booming, unlike anytime in American history. This is a radical shift from previous generations that attempted to cut ties or forget pasts in other places. This roundtable will explore the many ways Jews are investigating their collective pasts--through autobiography, family history, and genealogy.
