Chavruta - Texting Jewish Style

Lashon - Speech

Josh Rose, Marc Soloway

Jewish Education, Text & Thought

Connect with traditional and modern texts in Hebrew and English. Work every day with a study partner alongside other Limmud participants in the company of experienced facilitators. We provide a rich study guide to get you going – so you’re especially welcome if you’ve never studied Jewish texts before. Lashon (speech and language) is our theme for Limmud Colorado's first chavruta project. Bring a partner or find someone new to learn with when you get here! Participants are encouraged, but not required, to attend all four sessions.

What Happened at Sinai? Different Perspectives

Gavriel Goldfeder, Josh Rose, Marc Soloway

Text & Thought

Every year on Shavuot, the Jewish community reenacts the moment of revelation at Sinai. How we relate to this event defines, in a deep way, what kind of Jew we are. So what did happen? Who knows? A reform, conservative and orthodox rabbi will teach and discuss this question until one of them emerges victorious!

Theatrical Evening: The Empty Chair

Chani Smith, Marc Soloway

Arts & Performance

Weaving together humorous and uplifting stories with music, song and movement, one rabbi storyteller and one harp-guitar-flute-accordion-drum-shofar-playing musician take you on a journey of mystical enchantment through a wealth of traditional legends and true tales in search of the tree of life, the environmentally-friendly ram, and a human angel or two. Previously performed in UK and Israel.
