Vered Hankin, MA, PhD candidate, was named "the leading storyteller of her generation" (Jewish Week, 1990). She received an NSEP Grant to study Jewish oral stories at Jerusalem’s Hebrew University, and at UC Berkeley. She also received a Triangle Foundation research grant (Ecuador) to evaluate the effect of Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction on Multiple Sclerosis. Ms. Hankin co-wrote two books on storytelling and psychology: The Talking Treasure: Stories to Help Build Resilience in Young Children and In the Beginning: Creative Sparks for a Child’s Week. Her CD, The Day the Rabbi Disappeared: Jewish Holiday Tales of Magic, received the prestigious Awards of Excellence ( Film Advisory Board) and Gold Award (National Association of Parenting Publication Awards). Ms. Hankin was also featured in the award-winning radio show and CD collection, One People, Many Stories, hosted by Jerry Stiller.
