Brian Field was born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. After being ordained in 1994 at the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College, Brian served congregations in New Jersey and Wisconsin, and also worked in Wisconsin as a hospital chaplain. He moved to Denver in 2004 to become the rabbi of Judaism Your Way. Brian is married to Debbie Zucker, a psychotherapist in private practice. They are the parents of an 11-year-old daughter. Judaism Your Way is a Denver-based outreach organization dedicated to cultivating the uniqueness of each person's and family's Jewishness.

Intermarriage in the Torah; Intermarriage Today

Interfaith families have become a significant part of the Jewish people. How should the Jewish community respond to interfaith families and couples, and how should Jews understand the phenomenon of intermarriage itself? As in most Jewish questions, the Torah offers complex and surprising models. We’ll study some of the pertinent Torah narratives and explore their meaning for Jewish life today.
